Frequently Asked Questions

Family coaching is all about putting the power back in your hands. Because children spend the vast majority of their time with you, research shows that coaching parents and caregivers creates much deeper, longer-lasting growth for the whole family.
How We Work Together
Finding Our Focus: We start by simply sitting down (virtually!) to talk about what matters most to you right now. Together, we’ll set small, achievable goals and create a plan to help you get there.
Walking Alongside You: I am here to guide you through real-life moments as they happen, offering support and strategies as you navigate everyday situations.
Support That Fits: Long waiting lists and travel can make finding help feel exhausting. That’s why I meet you right where you are through phone or video calls. If you can’t make a live session, you can even request personalised coaching videos to watch whenever it suits you.
-
No referral is needed. If you have any reports or documents that might help me understand your child better, please feel free to share them with me.
-
Not at all. I work with parents and carers of both neurotypical and neurodivergent children. While autism is my specialty, I support families navigating a wide range of developmental needs, including helping you navigate formal assessments.
-
I don't provide formal autism diagnoses, but I can write a detailed letter of support outlining my clinical observations to support you in seeking an assessment.
In Australia, formal diagnostic assessments are conducted by qualified specialists, such as paediatricians, psychiatrists, or clinical, educational, and developmental psychologists.

All sessions are provided via virtual care, giving you the flexibility to connect from wherever you feel most comfortable. We can meet by phone or video call, depending on what works best for you and your family.
If you would like to look back on things later, you are always welcome to request that our sessions be recorded.
If life gets busy and a live session doesn't quite fit your schedule, you can also request personalised coaching videos to watch whenever it suits you.

I offer parent coaching, support network collaboration, report writing, letters of support, and advocacy.
-
Completely. Your privacy is a priority, and our sessions are entirely independent of government agencies. You can expect a confidential, safe space to discuss your child's development at home, school, and in the community.
Please note that confidentiality has limits if there are serious concerns regarding a child’s safety or risk of significant harm. In these circumstances, I am legally required to report them.

While I am not a registered NDIS provider, families with self-managed or plan-managed NDIS plans may be able to use their funding for my services, depending on their plan and the supports included.
If you're unsure whether your plan can be used for parent coaching, I recommend checking with your plan manager or support coordinator before booking. I provide invoices for families to submit for reimbursement where applicable.
I also offer affordable payment options to help make support more accessible for families.
